Our group facilitation sessions bring substance and insight into away days, ideation meetings, team-building sessions, strategy meetings, and working group gatherings.
Using our step-by-step process, we work with you to solve complex challenges and make tough decisions. The result is refined focus, greater understanding and viable options for moving forward.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our approach to facilitation is in the tradition of the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, who called himself a midwife because he used conversation to help others deliver the knowledge they had within themselves. The group facilitation sessions we run consist of discussion, exercises and, where appropriate and requested, insight from our facilitators. You can leave the note-taking to us and focus on your groups progress as we always provide summaries of session themes.
WHO IS IT FOR?
- Away days
- Ideation meetings
- Team-Building events
- Strategy sessions
- Working group gatherings
WHY DO OUR FACILITATION SESSIONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
Socrates was not merely supportive. He also challenged the thinking of those he met. Our facilitation gets results because we make a safe space for groups to talk about the ‘elephants in the room’ and address complex matters, but we also challenge their thinking, and offer unique, external perspectives.
WHAT WILL DELEGATES WALK WAY WITH?
It must be said that Socrates’ tenacious pursuit of wisdom got him killed! But he knew that the unexamined life was not worth living. We believe that unexamined work is a wasted opportunity. While our group facilitation sessions are positive in tone, we take our task of helping groups move forward seriously. Our clients have left our facilitation sessions with:
- A deeper shared understanding;
- Greater clarity on the way ahead; and
- An enriched sense of team unity.
Our primary concern is that our clients are working on what really matters to them, saying what really needs to be said and generating genuine change. To that end, our facilitation sessions are just as unique as the groups we work with. We always take into consideration the relevant context of the task at hand and the culture of the group we are working with.
