The best work is challenging. Our resilience training workshops provide practical strategies, tools and tips that help leaders, managers and teams cultivate greater resilience so that they can respond well to all the challenges and opportunities they meet in their work.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Coming from the Latin word resilīre, meaning ‘to spring back’, resilience is the ability to bounce back during times of adversity. Because difficulty comes in all shapes and sizes, resilience is needed both in times of severe trauma and when small frustrations and difficulties begin to add up.
Our approach to resiliency is that first and foremost, it can be taught. It may be tempting to think that resilient people are simply made of tougher stuff. But the truth is that those who respond well under stress and demonstrate mental agility do so as a result of a particular strategies. Our resilience training workshop will teach you to practice these strategies in ways that are contextualised and appropriate for your own work.
Our method for cultivating resiliency is holistic. We know that being resilient at work is not the result of any one strategy. Our training sessions, therefore, teach leaders and teams how to build resilience by cultivating a host of strategies that use their bodies and their minds.
WHAT WILL DELEGATES WALK AWAY WITH?
This interactive workshop is both substantive and practical. Leaders and teams that use our resilience training workshop will develop:
- A deeper understanding of resilience theory;
- A host of diverse, practical tools that can be used when work is particularly challenging;
- Greater self-awareness; and
- A personal plan for embedding greater resilience in their own work.
Participants will pick up physiological tools from breathing techniques to hydration, nutrition and posture that support greater resilience. But because we know that resilience is not just the product of being physically well-fuelled, but also feeding the way you think, participants will also learn how their own thought patterns impact their resilience and learn how to pick up mindsets that will help them respond well in the face of risk and adversity. Equally, because highly resilient people do not live in isolation, our workshop helps teams think about how their ways of working together contribute to their resilience both as individuals and as a collective.
For the past two years, we have delivered our resilience training workshop for International Students House (ISH). We worked with ISH to create a session that delivered tools for resiliency that met their people where they were at. The result was that 100% of workshop participants said our resilience training either ‘completely’ or ‘mostly’ met their expectations and needs.
