Our building trust workshop teaches leaders, managers and teams how to create trust that is appropriate and makes a real, positive difference.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It goes without saying that trust is valuable. But it needs to be said that trust is not always best. Well-placed trust enables collaboration, innovation and execution. But trust can also enable abuses of power and erode transparency. Our trust workshop teaches you how to build the right kind of trust.
Our work on trust is grounded in the doctoral research of Dr. Brennan Jacoby, philosopher and founder of Philosophy at Work. Over the last 10 years Brennan has worked on trust, making his findings practically powerful for organisations and individuals. The result is that our workshop on how to build trust translates the most critical insights about the nature of trust into practical techniques and methods that bring positive change. The skills we teach enable leaders and teams to build well-placed trust and achieve the kinds of professional relationships and results they desire.
WHAT WILL DELEGATES WALK AWAY WITH?
- A deeper shared understanding of trust and how it plays out in their work;
- Tools for building well-placed, appropriate trust;
- Strategies for creating a culture where trust can thrive; and
- Techniques for responding well to broken trust and managing distrust.
This session provides essential learning on trust and its role in your organisation. It is substantive, light-hearted and interactive (but don’t worry, there are no trust falls!).
WHO IS IT FOR?
- Partner away days
- Boards and leadership teams
- Project teams
- Any group seeking to better understand trust, sustain healthy trust and build better trust.
In collaborating with The School of Life in Antwerp, we delivered one of our workshops on trust as part of a 1-day session for YPO (The Young Presidents Organization). Here is what one of the leaders in that group had to say about the workshop:
Trust in itself is a highly abstract concept, and business leaders seldom proactively try to enhance trust within organizations. Quite often you start to think about regaining trust once it has been broken. The session really made us think about the concept, and made it accessible so that we can apply it in our own organizations. Brennan has a light, casual way of working, yet oh-so thought provoking. Very worthwhile! Patrick de Pont (EValuation Capital Management)
Available as a full day training session, a 3-hr workshop or 90-minute sprint, the learning experience we offer on trust can be customised to fit the needs of your group. Want to know how we can make our expertise on trust work for you? Get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
